Further training in the digital transformation: there is still room for improvement

Digitalisation is already having a major impact on the working environment and the way we work. This is shown by the research study "Future Project Working World 4.0", funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing. According to the study, digital technologies play a major role in the daily work of two thirds of the labour force in Baden-Württemberg (see Volume 4).

A study conducted by the industry association Bitkom in 2017 found that employers are increasingly investing in digital technologies. However, there is still a lot of catching up to do when it comes to providing employees with the right training.

It is crucial for the success of digitalisation in a company to have digitally competent staff who can use the technologies sensibly.
